Plasan to Hire 150 on Pentagon Contract

The Pentagon has upped its order for armored troop vehicles built in part by Bennington, Vermont’s Plasan North American. Wisconsin’s Oshkosh will build an additional 1,700 additional Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain-Vehicles at a cost of $1 billion. That on top of the 2,244 vehicles already ordered. The Department of Defense intends to cut 98 positions from a Washington Air National Guard unit that protects the US from Internet-based attacks. DoD to Create 160 Pennsylvania Jobs

The US Government will spend $10.4 million to expand its radar testing facilities at the Tobyhanna Army Depot in Pennsylvania, creating 160 jobs.
