The Indianapolis, Indiana Public School Board has voted to cut 300 teachers and non-teaching positions. The District cut eight schools in 2008, and will shutter six more this year. Detroit, Michigan’s school district will shut more than a quarter of its 194 schools, and eliminate the jobs of more than 10% of its teachers. Robert C.
