Nanotechnology firm NanoSperse has launched in Kettering, Ohio, and intends to add high tech jobs. The firm creates nano products that improve existing materials, for instance by preventing erosion. The State University of New York at Albany’s College of Nanoscale Science & Engineering will construct a a $50 million computer chip packaging center, creating 200 jobs. The Computer Chip Hybrid Integration Partnership (CHIP) will also build a $27.5 million computer chip commercialization center at the SUNY Institute of Technology outside Utica, creating 475 jobs. Strategic Composites will open a wind turbine blade plant in the Dayton, Ohio area, creating up to 600 jobs. The firm is looking for two buildings to occupy, in advance of building a new facility.
