The St. Paul Pioneer Press newspaper in St. Paul, Minnesota, is laying off an undisclosed number of its newsroom employees. The Salt Lake Tribune newspaper has eliminated three positions, as it restructures its newsroom. The paper laid off a graphic designer, a web technician and an administrative assistant to the Editor. The Tribune said new technology made the positions redundant. Severance is being offered. There are no plans for further newsroom layoffs at this time. Founded in 1871 [...]
