Memphis, Tennessee’s The Commercial Appeal newspaper may move its printing operations to Journal Publishing in Tupelo, Mississippi, eliminating up to 115 jobs. The Salt Lake Tribune newspaper has eliminated three positions, as it restructures its newsroom. The paper laid off a graphic designer, a web technician and an administrative assistant to the Editor. Reading, Pennsylvania’s Reading Eagle newspaper has laid off 52 workers. The layoffs target 12% of the publisher’s work force. Details have yet to be released.
