MGM Mirage announced in December it would hire more than 12,000 workers at CityCenter and other properties.

CityCenter is a 16,797,000 square-foor mixed-use complex, currently under construction by MGM Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada.

Philadelphia-based Aramark said its cuts at the Philadelphia university, effective July 12th, will be permanent, and come at the end of a management-services contract at UPenn.

With 240,000 employees worldwide, Aramark is the 19th largest employer on the FORTUNE 500.

The Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort would gain 39 jobs. The Sazerac North America bottling facility in Owensboro would get 50 jobs.

The company must create 172 jobs in three years in order to collect the grant money.

The distiller is offering early retirement to certain US workers; eliminating merit increases; and cutting discretionary spending.

The company’s other brands include Canadian Mist, Southern Comfort, Early Times Kentucky Whisky, Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Old Forester Bourbon whiskey, Korbel champagne, Fetzer wine, Finlandia vodka, and Bolla wine.

Constellation, which owns brands like Robert Mondavi and Clos du Bois, had already begun cutting costs in its UK business.

The company currently has 8,000 employees .

The company sold more than 40 brands, including Chi-Chi’s premixed cocktails, to Sazerac for $334 million.

Constellation will consolidate the operations of its remaining spirits brands, which include Svedka Vodka and Black Velvet Canadian Whisky, into its North American wine operations.
