Radio and advertising conglomerate Clear Channel is laying off 590 people in its radio division, and suspending its 401(k) matching plan. McGraw-Hill, owner of the Standard & Poor’s credit-rating service, cut 375 more jobs in Q4 as the economic meltdown erodes revenue.
