Montreal’s Quebecor World will add 30 jobs to its facility in Frederick County, Virginia, with an investment of $35.2 million. Oil and gas producer Devon Energy will combine its international and gulf divisions into one offshore division based in Houston, eliminating some jobs. Farm equipment maker Deere & Company is increasing by 10 the number of people being laid off at its John Deere Davenport Works in Iowa. Fair Isaac, a provider of credit-scoring, said it will cut 250 jobs globally as part of a cost-reduction program, and expects to reduce expenses by about $40 million in fiscal 2009.
