The Salt Lake Tribune newspaper has eliminated three positions, as it restructures its newsroom. The paper laid off a graphic designer, a web technician and an administrative assistant to the Editor. Cleveland’s MetroHealth Medical Center will cut 400 jobs, or six percent of its workforce. The hospital will lay off 270 workers and eliminate 130 open positions. Those affected have been notified.
