Oral Roberts UniversityOral Roberts University announced today that it will lay off 50 people across several departments at the university. No faculty positions will be cut. The university refers to the cuts as “rightsizing”. The reduction in staff will allow the university to maintain staffing levels of similar sized institutions and help balance the budget. Those who lose their jobs will remain employed for 60 days and retain their salary and benefits during that time. The university will also provide assistance to help these employees find new jobs.

In October Oral Roberts laid off 124 people and outsourced several positions. Before these lay offs the university had about 700 full time employees. Oral Roberts is a Charismatic Christian comprehensive university located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
