Anheuser-Busch InBev’s Nevada division cut 90 jobs in its sales department yesterday. Those who lost their jobs included several vice presidents. The company plans to lay off another 350 employees in the coming months. Anheuser is going through what they call “restructuring”. The company hopes to save $90 million annually through job reductions linked to the reorganization of their sales and marketing departments and company owned distributorships.
In an internal memo distributed last week Anheuser said that it wants to revamp its brand marketing group and focus employees on its major beer products. The company has also hired the consulting firm Accenture to help it find ways to be more efficient.
