GlobalWatt, a solar panel manufacturer, has signed a lease in Saginaw, Michigan, and is prepared to start hiring up to 500 employees as early as first quarter 2010. The company is investing $177 million into the production line and will receive a $14 million dollar tax incentive project from the state. The city of Saginaw is still considering an additional $13 million in incentives.
GlobalWatt was founded in 2006 by industry veterans and is based out of Silicon Valley, California.
