Innovative Emergency Management Inc is moving its headquarters from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to North Carolina in return for state tax breaks of up to $9 million. 50 of the 150 jobs at the current headquarters will move, while the remaining employees will have the option to transfer to one of the other offices. Currently the company employs 350 people. IEM will keep the Baton Rouge office open on a smaller scale.
Innovative Emergency Management is a risk management company founded in 1985. IEM has eight offices strategically located around the United States. Their areas of specialty include homeland security and emergency management, information technology, defense support, and program integration support. Clients include local, federal and foreign government agencies.
