One of the nations top hospitals, Cleveland Clinic, is planning to add 1800 new positions next year. Jobs will include nurses, physicians, lab technicians, human resources, IT and finance positions. Most will require a college education or an advanced degree.
The non profit hospital and academic center posts losses of just over $60 million in 2008 even as the number of patients treated went up. A hiring freeze was put in place at the time.
