NCR Cutting 2200 Jobs

ncr_160x120NCR, which recently relocated its headquarters from Ohio to Georgia, is cutting 2200 jobs from its global operations in a cost cutting measure. No word yet from the company on where the jobs cuts will land.

3rd quarter profits for the company dropped 81%. Revenue also fell by 11.6 percent, driven down in part by the stronger dollar.

NCR Corporation, originally known as National Cash Register, was founded in 1884. It is a global corporation that manufactures ATM Machines, bar code scanners, point of sale systems and other similar products. NCR employs over 22,000 people.
