Mountaineer Gas, supplier of gas to 48 of 55 counties in West Virginia, is opening a new call center in Charleston. The call center will be run by NCO Group, an outsourcing company that primarily handles customer service, debt collection and accounts receivable for companies. The center will start out with 50 employees but NCO anticipates 150 new jobs will be created when the call center reaches peak capacity.
The state’s Workforce West Virginia program provided about $40,000 in grants to help bring the business to the state.
