Germany’s SMA Solar Technology is opening a manufacturing plant in Colorado that will create 300 jobs with room for 700 more to follow. The facility will produce solar inverters, which convert solar energy generated by home solar panels into alternating current that can be exported into the grid.
SMA Solar Technology AG is a German solar energy equipment supplier founded in 1981 and based in Niestetal, a suburb of Kassel, Germany. It is the world’s largest manufacturer of inverters for solar photovoltaic modules, with an estimated 40% share of the global market
