Every year at this time, the casinos of Atlantic City scale back. The post labor day cuts are not directly related to the economy, but that’s little consolation to the 1,000 employees that no longer have a job. Overall employment in the AC Casino industry is still down as well, with total staffing of the the hotel/casinos at a little over 37,000, the lowest it’s been since the late 80’s.
