Economy, Featured, Government, Job Loss

unhappyteacher_160x120The economic down turn continues to take a heavy toll on our education system. Two Thirds of the nation’s schools reported cutting jobs this year, and a whopping 83% expect to cut more jobs next summer. Job losses have been heaviest among aids and teachers of core subjects like Math and English. Meanwhile, tuition at public and private universities and graduate schools continues to rise.
