Analog to Cut 120 in Massachusetts

analogdevices_160x120Norwood, Massachusetts’ Analog Devices will shutter its manufacturing facility in Cambridge, eliminating 120 jobs.

Work will be sent to the firm’s Wilmington plant.

The Cambridge factory makes motion detectors used in a wide variety of products, from automobile air bags to video game controllers.

Analog Devices is a multinational semiconductor company specializing in data conversion and signal conditioning technology. Analog serves over 60,000 customers representing a wide variety of electronic equipment types, including industrial and medical equipment, wireless communications infrastructure, automotive applications, and consumer electronics.

Analog Devices employs 8,500 people worldwide.
