Nevada’s Washoe County will lay off 300 workers and eliminate 200 vacant positions. The cuts will save $100 million.
This week, 32 people were let go; another 30 were laid off in June.
Washoe County is a county in northwest Nevada. Census Bureau estimates listed a population of 396,428 in 2006. The county seat is Reno. It employs 2,600.
