The US Department of Energy is holding another job fair to fill thousands of new positions at a former nuclear weapons complex in South Carolina.
Employment agencies are at the James Brown Arena in Augusta, Georgia today, meeting with applicants.
The positions at the Savannah River Site will be funded by $1.6 billion in federal stimulus money.
The Savannah River Site is a nuclear materials processing center in the state of South Carolina, located on land in Aiken Allendale and Barnwell Counties adjacent to the Savannah River, 25 miles from Augusta, Georgia. The site was built during the 1950s to refine nuclear materials for deployment in nuclear weapons.
