Rainier School Cutting at Least 40 in WA

dshs_160x120Washington state’s Rainier School, a residential facility for developmentally disabled adults, is laying off an undisclosed number of employees. Press reports say the number is greater than 40.

The layoffs are the result of budget cuts at the Department of Social and Health Services.

Founded in 1939, the Rainier School is a residential facility for 440 adults with developmental disabilities, located in Buckley, Washington.
