The company has about 1,335 employees.

Founded in 1994, Digital River is an e-commerce outsourcing company whose clientele is largely software publishers. The company is the leading provider of software delivery over the Internet. Its largest client is Symantec. Other clients include Microsoft, AOL, eBay, Electronic Arts, Toshiba, Computer Associates, Circuit City, and Sun Microsystems.
