Kellogg’s Expanding Georgia Plant, Creating 220 Jobs

Kellogg'sKellogg’s is spending $10 million to expand its Augusta, Georgia plant, creating 220 new jobs. The positions will pay $10 to $15 per hour.

The plant will produce new cookie products for its Keebler and Kashi brands, and for the Girl Scouts. It currently employs 500 workers.

Twenty percent of the new workers will come from a Kellogg’s plant in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Kellogg Company is the world’s leading producer of cereal and a leading producer of convenience foods, including cookies, crackers, toaster pastries, cereal bars, frozen waffles, and meat alternatives. Its global headquarters are in Battle Creek, Michigan. Revenues in 2008 were $12.8 billion.
