Delta Air Lines is cutting its seating capacity by 10% in September, and may eliminate more jobs.

In February, Delta granted voluntary buyouts to the more than 2,100 employees who requested them.

The carrier, which acquired Northwest Airlines in October 2008, let go 6,000 people between the two airlines.
