The Antioch, California Unified School District Board has eliminated six top administrative positions, cutting $825,000 from the 2009-10 budget.
The eliminated positions are chief academic officer, human resources director, extended education official, coordinator for student support services, and two assistant superintendents. Earlier this year the board laid off its public information officer.
The school district is looking to cut $6 million, in the wake of a $21 million cut in state funds.
