UTLXUTLX Manufacturing will lay off 142 employees at its Houston, Texas plant by July 10th.

The railroad manufacturer blamed the layoffs on “continued negative business conditions.”

Founded in 1866, Union Tank Car Company, or UTLX, is a railway equipment leasing company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. They specialize in tank cars and covered hopper cars.
