Spring Air Sends 157 to the Mattresses

Spring AirMattress manufacturer Spring Air is cutting 157 jobs at its Tampa, Florida operation.

The company merged with Consolidated Bedding in June 2007, This February, Spring Air announced plans to open a $30 million production center in Durant, Oklahoma.

Elk Grove Village, Illinois-based Spring Air Company was founded in 1926. In 2006, it was the fourth largest US manufacturer of mattresses.
