Mattress manufacturer Spring Air is cutting 157 jobs at its Tampa, Florida operation.
The company merged with Consolidated Bedding in June 2007, This February, Spring Air announced plans to open a $30 million production center in Durant, Oklahoma.
Elk Grove Village, Illinois-based Spring Air Company was founded in 1926. In 2006, it was the fourth largest US manufacturer of mattresses.
