Auto parts manufacturer Metaldyne will close its plant in Middleville, Michigan, laying off 110 people.
When the plant permanently shuts down on August 31st, 87 hourly and 23 salaried workers will be unemployed.
Plymouth, Michigan’s Metaldyne makes oil pumps, water pumps and assemblies for transmissions and automotive front ends. It supplies parts to GM, Ford and Chrysler.
