ArvinMeritor will shut two Canadian plants, and laid off 250 people in February and March.
Almost 100 job cuts came from the light vehicle division’s headquarters in Detroit, and the auto supplier’s global headquarters in Troy, Michigan.
The job cuts, plant closures, and salary cuts create $430 million in annual savings for ArvinMeritor.
ArvinMeritor, a Fortune 500 company, manufactures automobile components for light service vehicles, trucks, and trailers.
