The State of Michigan has approved a 10-year tax break for Emergent Biosolutions, which will use the $3 million incentive to expand its Lansing manufacturing facility.
Emergent Biosolutions currently employs more than 300 workers in Lansing, and over the next year the biotech firm will create 300 more jobs. The city will provide millions of dollars more in tax abatement.
Emergent produces anthrax vaccine for the federal government. It is the only anthrax vaccine approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
