Nearly 200 jobs are being cut at a central Indiana factory that makes engine parts for Honda.
Keihin Indiana Precision Technology says the moves will take effect by April 10th, and reduce the work force of its Greenfield plant by about 20%.
The division of Tokyo-based Keihin has accepted volunteers for temporary layoffs, and cut the jobs of about 100 temp workers.
It could be three or four years before production returns to previous levels.
The plant makes air and fuel management systems for Honda engine plants in Alabama and Ohio.
