On Sunday, Omaha, Nebraska’s Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo attracted several hundred people to its annual job fair.
Applicants filled out their paperwork and went off for interviews. Many of those at the job fair said they are looking for work of any kind.
Attendance at the zoo is up nearly 15% so far this year and memberships are up as well. Director Lee Simmons said he sees no risks to the planned zoo expansion that’s set to start in 2011.
Founded in 1894, The Henry Doorly Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Its mission is conservation, research, recreation, and education.
